Waterfalls, cardamom hills and local trails
The area offers waterfall walks, hill trails and routes around
places such as 33 Waterfalls, Kilikallu and Tiger Cave (Pulippara).
Some experiences involve traditional hanging bridges and forest
paths led by local community guides.
These are different outings rather than one guaranteed route. Tell
the team which places interest you and how much time you have.
Guides can advise which trails are accessible and appropriate for
your group.
Choose the right level of walking
Tell us about your walking experience, preferred duration and anyone
in your group who needs an easier route. Ask about the distance,
climbs, terrain and return transport before deciding. A scenic
waterfall stop and an extended hill trek can require very different
levels of effort.
Wear footwear with a reliable grip, carry drinking water and ask
what to bring for the season. Keep belongings light, protect them
from rain, and carry every wrapper and bottle back out with you.
River access follows the conditions
River bathing and waterfall access depend on rainfall, water levels
and local advice. Never assume that a pool is safe because it
appears calm or was accessible on another visit. Your guide may
change or cancel a route when conditions require it.
Stay out of the elephant drinking area and respect all barriers and
forest restrictions. Quiet observation from designated areas helps
protect both visitors and the animals.
Arrange a guide, a stay and a ride
You can request waterfall trekking, off-road trekking and other
activities in the planner. Share dates, guest numbers and what you
want to see. Ask whether a guide, transport, meals and any access
charges are included in the quote.
A local homestay or riverside cottage can be a convenient base. Our
team can discuss combining walking with a jeep safari while leaving
room for rest and time in the village.
